Notes

What these numbers do and don’t say.

The acceptance rate is the proportion of applications that became printed entries. It is not a measure of applicant quality. Most declined applications are technically true but outside the operational filter described in the Charter.

The tier distribution reflects who has applied, not a target mix. Tier II and Tier III applications take longer to verify and are listed later in the cycle.

All counts include specimen entries on the public web register. The printed annual contains only verified live entries.

Anyone can verify a UK listing themselves at Companies House by following the number on each individual entry. International entries carry the equivalent national register reference.
